There's an email address for the owner in his AAJ profile. ![]() I think many of the tapes are of radio broadcasts. The collection includes about 500+ LPs, about 200+ CDs and about 400+ tapes. The collection's owner has a spreadsheet with some more detail about the individual recordings. I sense there may be some wiggle room here, depending on interest. I also am under the impression that he feels that selling the collection piecemeal would be too daunting a task, and would not achieve his main desire - to get all of the recordings into the hands of someone who would value them. My first reaction is that due to it's size, it is unlikely he will find a jazz enthusiast with deep enough pockets to acquire the collection whole. ![]() I have no affiliation with the owner of this collection, but it's a fascinating collection and I thought some folks here would be interested in looking at the list, and maybe offering some insight as to its possible value, or some ideas about how this person might best get these recordings into the hands of folks who would appreciate them. The owner is not a jazz enthusiast and said he would prefer to sell the collection whole to someone who would value it as his grandfather did, although he has no firm idea what it might be worth. ![]() The owner of the collection lives north of London. I ran across this list - first posted in 2006 - the other day at AAJ and contacted the person who had posted it. ![]()
